They’ve both been nominated for the Best New Artist title at this year’s Video Music Awards coming up on Sunday (September 12), and Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj have opened up about their feelings of satisfaction and pride.
First up, “Tik Tok” singer Ke$ha told press, “This is such a monumental thing for me to be nominated, because it really means people do really like what I’m doing.”
Meanwhile, Miss Minaj dished, “I mean, obviously this is something everybody dreamed of being part of and I’m no exception to that rule. I just feel like this is my coming-out party. This is major for an artist with no album out.”
The “Young Money” rapper is set to perform on the pre-show, marking the first televised solo performance of her career.
